The General Terms and Conditions for registration to the GLS-16 Congress can be found here.
Please note:
- *All students and PhD students are entitled to register at the student rate when uploading a full proof of matriculation (i.e. a scanned copy of the student ID card or a letter from their institution confirming full time under or postgraduate student status) during the online registration. Please kindly note that students still have to be enrolled at the time of the congress. The collected information will be used to verify the congress registration requirements and will be deleted afterwards.
- **The experimental seminar is for students and PhD students only. Bus transfer to HZDR is organised. Registration is required to take part.
- ***The doctoral student´s evening is for students and PhD students and young scientists. It is free of charge, but registration is required to take part.
- Press representatives can participate in the congress free of charge including access to all sessions, the exhibition and poster area and the networking corner. A press identification card must be uploaded during the online registration.
The registration fees include:
- Attendance to all scientific sessions
- Coffeebreaks and light lunches
- Access to the exhibition and poster area
- Access to the welcome reception on Monday, 2 September 2024
- Access to the social dinner on Wednesday, 4 September 2024

Post Conference Tours
- Minimum number of participants 20 people.
- Registration is required.
- For details please see menu point Social Program and Tours.
- Please note that both tours are full day tours and it is NOT possible to end the tour earlier.
Payment methods
Payment can be made by credit card or by bank transfer.
Payment by credit card can be done during the online registration process. No credit card fee will be charged. You will get a confirmation of registration and payment afterwards via e-mail. For paying by bank transfer, you will receive an invoice including all payment details via e-mail. All bank charges have to be covered by the delegate.
The registration for the congress is only valid after receipt of the full registration fees. If you have not paid the fees within the mentioned deadlines, the higher fee will apply and you will receive a new invoice from the congress organisation subsequently.
